Meadow Tea is a sweet, minty iced tea made the old-fashioned way—fresh spearmint leaves steeped into a cooling, fragrant drink. Common in Amish and Mennonite communities, it’s the perfect summer beverage: soothing, natural, and refreshing.

- Boil the Water
- Bring 8 cups of water to a boil in a large pot.
- Steep the Mint
- Add fresh spearmint to the boiling water, cover, and remove from heat. Let steep for 15–20 minutes.
- Strain & Sweeten
- Strain out the mint leaves. Stir in sugar while the tea is still warm until fully dissolved.
- Chill the Tea
- Pour into a pitcher and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until cold.
- Serve Cold
- Serve over ice with lemon slices or mint sprigs for garnish.
