This homemade version of Haagen-Dazs strawberry ice cream is bursting with real fruit flavor and ultra-creamy texture — just like the original. Made with fresh strawberries, cream, and sugar, it's a summer-perfect dessert that melts in your mouth.

  1. In a bowl, combine chopped strawberries, ¼ cup sugar, and lemon juice. Let sit for 15 minutes, then blend half into a purée.
  2. In another bowl, whisk the remaining sugar with heavy cream, milk, vanilla, and salt until sugar dissolves.
  3. Stir in both the strawberry purée and the remaining chopped berries.
  4. Chill the mixture in the fridge for 2–3 hours.
  5. Pour into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions (about 20–25 minutes).
  6. Transfer to a container and freeze for at least 4 hours before serving.
