Chicken Parmesan—also known as Chicken Parmigiana—is a beloved Italian-American dish featuring crispy breaded chicken breasts topped with marinara sauce and melted mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. It’s hearty, cheesy, and perfect served over spaghetti or on its own with a side salad.

  1. Season chicken cutlets with salt and pepper. Dredge in flour, dip in beaten eggs, then coat with breadcrumb and Parmesan mixture.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry chicken for 3–4 minutes per side, until golden and crispy. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.
  3. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Place chicken on a baking dish. Spoon marinara sauce over each piece, then top with mozzarella and a sprinkle of Parmesan.
  4. Bake for 10–15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly. For extra browning, broil for 1–2 minutes at the end.
  5. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley. Serve over spaghetti or with garlic bread.
