A classic Italian coffee drink, cappuccino blends a shot of bold espresso with steamed milk and a thick layer of frothy milk foam. Ideal for mornings or a cozy afternoon.

  1. Brew the espresso
  2. Use an espresso machine or a stovetop Moka pot to make 1 shot of espresso. Pour it into your cappuccino cup.
  3. Steam the milk
  4. Using a steam wand, steam your milk until it reaches 150°F (65°C) and forms a smooth, velvety foam. If you don’t have a steam wand, heat the milk and froth it using a milk frother or by shaking it in a jar and microwaving for 30 seconds.
  5. Pour the milk
  6. Pour the steamed milk into the espresso, holding back the foam with a spoon. Then spoon the foam on top to fill the cup.
  7. Optional topping
  8. Dust with cocoa powder or cinnamon if desired.
