Preheat to 375°F (190°C).
Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
2. Mix Dry Ingredients
In a medium bowl, whisk:
2 1/4 cups (280g) all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
3. Cream Butter & Sugars
In a large bowl, beat:
1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar
3/4 cup (165g) packed brown sugar
Beat until creamy (about 2–3 minutes).
4. Add Eggs & Vanilla
Add:
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
Beat well.
5. Combine Wet & Dry
Gradually beat in the flour mixture.
6. Add Chocolate & Nuts (optional)
Stir in:
2 cups (340g) Nestlé Toll House semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts (optional, walnuts or pecans)
7. Scoop & Bake
Drop dough by rounded tablespoon onto baking sheets.
Bake for 9–11 minutes, or until golden brown.
Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes, then transfer to wire racks.
