These iconic cookies are soft in the center, slightly crispy at the edges, and packed with semi-sweet chocolate chips and buttery vanilla flavor. A timeless treat for all ages.

Ingredients

  1. 1. Preheat Oven
  2. Preheat to 375°F (190°C).
  3. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  4. 2. Mix Dry Ingredients
  5. In a medium bowl, whisk:
  6. 2 1/4 cups (280g) all-purpose flour
  7. 1 tsp baking soda
  8. 1 tsp salt
  9. 3. Cream Butter & Sugars
  10. In a large bowl, beat:
  11. 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened
  12. 3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar
  13. 3/4 cup (165g) packed brown sugar
  14. Beat until creamy (about 2–3 minutes).
  15. 4. Add Eggs & Vanilla
  16. Add:
  17. 2 large eggs
  18. 1 tsp vanilla extract
  19. Beat well.
  20. 5. Combine Wet & Dry
  21. Gradually beat in the flour mixture.
  22. 6. Add Chocolate & Nuts (optional)
  23. Stir in:
  24. 2 cups (340g) Nestlé Toll House semi-sweet chocolate chips
  25. 1 cup chopped nuts (optional, walnuts or pecans)
  26. 7. Scoop & Bake
  27. Drop dough by rounded tablespoon onto baking sheets.
  28. Bake for 9–11 minutes, or until golden brown.
  29. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes, then transfer to wire racks.
