A moist and boozy Italian-inspired bundt cake bursting with citrus from fresh orange juice and zest, and flavored with a trio of liqueurs: Grand Marnier, Disaronno Amaretto, and vodka. This cake is glazed with an alcohol-infused syrup, giving it a rich aroma and a delightful moist crumb. Perfect for celebrations and spirited gatherings.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch bundt pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the orange zest and juice, milk, olive oil (if using), and the three liqueurs: Grand Marnier, Disaronno, and vodka.
  5. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared bundt pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. While cake bakes, prepare the glaze by combining sugar, butter, and water in a small saucepan. Bring to a low boil, then simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the liqueurs.
  9. When the cake is done, let it cool for 5 minutes in the pan, then poke holes over the surface with a skewer or toothpick. Pour half the warm glaze over the cake to soak in.
  10. Remove cake from pan and transfer to a wire rack. Brush remaining glaze over cake.
  11. Garnish with fresh orange zest if desired. Slice and serve.
