A flavorful, healthy pasta dish made with sautéed garlic, onions, and tender Swiss chard. Perfect for a light lunch or dinner that’s both hearty and packed with nutrients.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Cook Pasta:
  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water before draining.
  3. Sauté Aromatics:
  4. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant but not browned (about 1 minute). Add chopped onion and cook until translucent.
  5. Add Swiss Chard:
  6. Add the chopped Swiss chard and a pinch of salt. Cook, stirring often, until wilted (about 3–5 minutes).
  7. Combine Pasta & Sauce:
  8. Add the drained pasta to the skillet. Toss to combine with the chard mixture. Add reserved pasta water a little at a time to loosen the sauce.
  9. Season & Serve:
  10. Stir in lemon juice and zest if using. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Serve with grated Parmesan on top.
