Ingredients
Directions
1. Prepare the Cake Batter:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease and flour a bundt pan.
In a large bowl, combine:
1 box yellow cake mix
1 box instant vanilla pudding mix (3.4 oz)
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tbsp cinnamon
4 large eggs
3/4 cup water
3/4 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup sweet white wine (like Moscato or Riesling)
Mix everything together until smooth (about 2 minutes).
2. Bake:
Pour batter into the prepared bundt pan.
Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
3. Make the Glaze:
While the cake bakes, melt in a saucepan:
1 stick (1/2 cup) butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup sweet white wine
1 tsp vanilla extract
Bring to a boil and cook for 2–3 minutes until the sugar is dissolved.
4. Glaze the Cake:
Remove cake from oven and poke holes all over with a skewer or fork.
Slowly pour the hot glaze over the cake while it's still in the pan.
Let the cake absorb the glaze for 10–15 minutes, then invert onto a serving plate.
