Beef Lombardi Casserole is a classic Southern-style dish made with layers of seasoned ground beef, noodles, tomato sauce, and a creamy cheese blend. It’s great for potlucks, weeknight dinners, or freezer meal prep.

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook egg noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until meat is browned. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in diced tomatoes (with juice), tomato sauce, salt, pepper, and oregano. Simmer for 10 minutes to let flavors blend.
  5. In a bowl, combine sour cream, softened cream cheese, and green onions. Mix until smooth.
  6. Assemble the casserole:
  7. Spread half of the noodles in the dish.
  8. Top with half the meat sauce.
  9. Spread half of the sour cream mixture.
  10. Repeat layers.
  11. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
  12. Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes, until bubbly and golden.
  13. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
