This easy thin crust pizza dough is light, crispy, and perfect for anyone who loves a cracker-like pizza base. Ready in about an hour, it's ideal for homemade pizza night!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Activate the yeast:
  2. Mix warm water, sugar, and yeast in a small bowl. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until it becomes foamy.
  3. Make the dough:
  4. In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a shaggy dough forms.
  5. Knead:
  6. Knead on a floured surface for 6–8 minutes until smooth. Add flour as needed if it’s too sticky.
  7. First rise:
  8. Place dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  9. Preheat oven:
  10. Preheat to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven now.
  11. Roll it out:
  12. Punch the dough down and divide in half. Roll each half out thinly (⅛-inch or less).
  13. Top and bake:
  14. Place on parchment paper or a lightly oiled tray. Add your favorite toppings and bake for 10–12 minutes or until golden and crisp.
