Ingredients
Directions
Activate the yeast:
Mix warm water, sugar, and yeast in a small bowl. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until it becomes foamy.
Make the dough:
In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a shaggy dough forms.
Knead:
Knead on a floured surface for 6–8 minutes until smooth. Add flour as needed if it’s too sticky.
First rise:
Place dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
Preheat oven:
Preheat to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven now.
Roll it out:
Punch the dough down and divide in half. Roll each half out thinly (⅛-inch or less).
Top and bake:
Place on parchment paper or a lightly oiled tray. Add your favorite toppings and bake for 10–12 minutes or until golden and crisp.
