This fusion pizza uses crispy bhakhri as the base, topped with a spicy tomato sauce, melty cheese, and your favorite vegetables. It's quick, delicious, and perfect as a tea-time snack or light dinner.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Step 1: Make the Bhakhri Base
  2. In a bowl, mix whole wheat flour, semolina, salt, and oil.
  3. Add water gradually and knead into a stiff dough.
  4. Divide into small balls, roll out each into a thick disc (like a roti, but slightly thicker).
  5. Cook on a tawa (griddle) on low to medium heat with ghee/oil, pressing with a spatula until both sides are golden and crisp.
  6. Let it cool slightly before topping.
  7. Step 2: Assemble the Pizza
  8. Preheat your oven (or use a covered tawa or pan on low heat).
  9. Spread pizza sauce evenly over the bhakhri.
  10. Add chopped veggies and sprinkle grated cheese on top.
  11. Season with oregano, chili flakes, and pepper.
  12. Step 3: Bake or Cook
  13. Oven method: Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 5–7 minutes until cheese melts.
  14. Stovetop method: Place in a covered pan and cook on low flame until the cheese melts.
