1. Activate the Yeast:
In a small bowl, mix warm water (not hot) with sugar and yeast.
Let it sit for 8–10 minutes until frothy.
2. Make the Dough:
In a large mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour and salt.
Add activated yeast mixture and oil.
Mix and knead into a smooth, soft dough (add water if too dry).
Knead for 8–10 minutes until stretchy and soft.
3. Proof the Dough:
Cover the dough with a damp cloth.
Let it rise in a warm place for 1–1.5 hours or until doubled in size.
4. Shape the Pizza Base:
Punch down the dough to release air.
Divide into two portions.
Roll out each portion into a circle (about ½ cm thick) on a lightly floured surface.
5. Pre-Bake (Optional but recommended):
Preheat oven to 200°C (392°F).
Place the base on a baking tray.
Prick with a fork to prevent puffing.
Bake for 5–7 minutes before adding toppings.
6. Make Your Pizza:
Add sauce, toppings, and cheese.
Bake again for 10–12 minutes or until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
